20th season starts and stops

This season marked my 20th year snowboarding.  It’s amazing that growing up in Ohio can prepare you for riding the steeps and gnarly terrain of the Alps.

Thanks to my dude Chip, I was decked out in all new gear and ready to rule the mountain.  This year I’ve really given it my all, trying to huck myself off of every possible jump and hurl myself at blazing fast speed.

For the first time ever, I visited Stubaital.  It was decent wide open terrain with good snow coverage.  After a few seasons on reverse camber, I tried this year’s Burton Sherlock, which is a combination camber (flying V).  It was great all over the mountain and I had one of the best setups I’ve had in years.

Despite having a great time and getting home safely, my season is over as priorities are about to change here in the Klein family.  For those of you still riding this season, make some turns for me.
